As well as ready to wear pieces, I offer a Bespoke Service and Made to Order options on some rings. Please read on to see the full details.
Made To Order
All pieces seen online are one-offs, carved in wax and cast in silver or gold in the South East of England, UK. Some pieces can be made to order in your size and choice of metal. Click the Made to Order page to see which pieces can be created. After checkout, please send an email to hello@rachelstrange.com with your ring size. Your ring will be ready in 7-11 weeks and fully hallmarked. Please contact me if you would like to discuss different metal or stone options.
Your ring will be handmade just for you, making it a unique, one of a kind piece (it will be similar to the ones seen in the listings online, but textures and placements will not be identical).
Bespoke Service & Remodels
If you have an idea for a ring or would like to discuss stone options, get in touch and we can design a piece together. Making a bespoke ring can take time and is a collaborative process, so we will be in touch throughout.
In most cases, I can use metal and old stones from your old jewellery that you would like remodelled. Please note that some softer stones do not survive the extraction process and where this might be the case, I will inform you of any alternative stones that can be used. If you have any jewellery you would like to be remodelled, please include clear photos in your initial emails so that these can be discussed during the design stage.
How it works
Usually it’s a good idea to schedule an initial conversation between us, so that we can discuss ideas, confirm your budget and get an idea of your vision. Based on our conversation, I will source stones and show you a variety to choose from. After this has been confirmed I will create a wax mould for you to see (usually I will send you a video of it), as this acts like a sample and is used in the final casting process. Once you are happy with the mould it will be sent to be cast in to your chosen metal, and sent back so that I can start working on it (this bit includes polishing, reshaping and stone setting). Sometimes I can take photos of the finished piece before I send it to be hallmarked, so if you would like to see it at this stage, please let me know.
How long will my piece take to make?
Please allow between to 7-11 weeks for your piece to reach you, depending on how long our initial consultation stage takes. In most instances, your piece will arrive sooner. If you are on a deadline, then next day hallmarking can also be arranged for an additional fee.
Warranty & Returns on Bespoke Pieces
Pieces that are made to order or bespoke are not entitled to refund or exchange unless faulty, but in some cases items can be remade or adjusted. Your Jewellery is protected by a 12-month warranty, starting from your purchase date. During this period, I will repair any faults free of charge when the piece has been worn normally.
